Water Reminder App for iWatch
Hydrate is a great reminder App to help users to keep their body moist and in good condition in daily life and remind users to have at least 6 glasses of water a day.
In 1945 the US Food and Nutrition Board of the National Research Council advised adults to consume one milliliter of liquid for every recommended calorie of food, which equates to two liters for women on a 2,000-calorie diet and two-and-a-half for men eating 2,500 calories. Not just water that included most types of drinks – as well as fruits and vegetables, which can contain up to 98% water.

Problem Statement
It is not easy that keep the body in a good condition and moist in daily life for users. They do not have regular hydration intake. And also, they will take more other clear liquids (tea, coffee, milk, or juice) which contain lots of sugar than plain water. It brings body conditions to unbalance users.
Users Goals
Body Hydration
The on-wrist app detects the user’s body moisture level changes by using a simulated body hydration level.
Hydration Status
The app could record every time the water that users take in and take out (sweat, pee, or illness symptoms that might cause by dehydration). Also, it could display the balance in users’ daily clear water intake.
Intake Reminder
The app customizes the daily habits of drinking water by users themselves. The users set their own daily routine to keep their body hydration.
Persona
Emma is a 35 years old woman who is passionate about her work. She has low body manage conscious in her daily life. Lightly dehydration and bad habits frustrated her and she wanted to change. She is looking for a way can help her to solve the problem of her health control.
User Journey Map
During everyday hydration intake, users consistently keep their body hydration. The app Hydrate fulfills users' needs and changes their behavior, letting them drink more water in a day than before.
Low-Fi wireframe
UI design for Hydrate is used a 41mm iWatch Screen, 352 x 420 px grid system. The features include drink water reminders, water level, water intake recording, immune system, health alert, and symptoms predicted.
High-Fi Prototype
01. Homepage
The homepage has three pages. Users can swipe right and left to browse water level (main page), Immune system (swipe right), and intake water (swipe left).
02. Reminder
Hydrate will remind users "It is time to drink water." Users could input the water value that they intake, and observe their data about hydration.
03. Immune System
The immune system will alert users that "your immune system is low due to insufficient water intake." There are some symptoms the users will have if they barely not drink water or do not have enough water in daily life.
Branding
Logo
Because of iWatch screen has limited space. The logo should be simple and easy to be recognized. Therefore, it is better that use a simplified icon to indicate the App.
The Idea of the logo came from the words "hydrate" and the symbol "H2O". The letter "H" transform a water drop and a water flow.
